We won’t even pretend to act like we’re fluent in Japanese, but based on our best understanding of machine translation, Hitachi has a few new refrigerators that will actually spritz your food with antioxidants and vitamins to keep things exceptionally fresh and clean (clean). The R-Y6000 and R-Y5400 will evidently sense what types of foods are stored in what compartments, after which a specified amount of nutrients will be emitted in order to keep things from spoiling too soon. We aren’t too keen on a robotic fridge having the power to douse our grub with whatever chemical it pleases, but so long as it uses FDA-approved vitamins, minerals, HGH and anabolic steroids, we suppose we’ll live.

Believe it or not, this beautiful Gorenje fridge is an official Apple-licensed Made for iPod refrigerator. And believe it or not, it’s not just a speaker and a dock glued to a glossy black fridge: You can control the fridge itself using your iPod touch or iPhone using an application called iGorenj, which in fact can control all kinds of Gorenje appliances—from the washing machine to the oven—as you can see in the user interface gallery.

Need ice pronto but your fridge is too slow, party throwers like you need something professional like the Ice Cube Machine that makes 2.3 liters water into ice in about 10-12 minutes flat. You can make ice in four different sizes (small, medium, large and x-large) and over a 24 hour period it can produce almost 40 pounds of ice.
The Ice Cube Machine is available from Paramountzone.com for about $280.

The new CDA PC 85 resembles in exterior design with the GE Profile double drawer bottom freezer refrigerator. However the CDA PC85 features pull-out drawers. Its features are quite similar to the PC 65, but the main differences lie in its two drawer freezer cabinets, two humidity regulated fruit compartments, special temperature drawer which maintain it between -2°C and 2°C, Super Cooling feature and 2 lidded compartments. A bit larger and a bit quieter environment is exuded with the PC 85; with 433 liter fridge and 174 liters freezer capacities, while the noise is limited at 45dBA. Samsung QuatroCooling Convertible refrigerator started the trend of splitting the freezer into two and offers a unique vertically split freezer. But the horizontal split gives a sleeker look.
The new CDA PC 85 refrigerator costs £1,350 or $2,812.

Two years in design, the new Samsung Refrigerator J-Series is intended to be the creative centerpiece of any kitchen and boasts a multitude of unique features that aid in food freshness and help increase energy efficiency.
The Samsung Refrigerator J-Series has a seamless exterior design that comprises a flawlessly flush flat door with hidden hinges, tower lighting and the sophisticated design of a tall dispenser. As with all of Samsung’s products, special attention was given to user-friendly features including a ‘Z’ shelf to maximise space usage and bottle storage, a visibly separate and more readable twin display, and a take out tray, ideal for serving cold meats and cheese during family meals or dinner parties.
“Design has taken a foothold in the modern home and appliances now need to exceed customer expectations and offer users an emotional experience,” said Jasper Morrison. “Working with Samsung was a great opportunity to partner with a company renowned for excellence in innovation and design and recreate one of the most important products in the home. The lounge is not the only room in the house where aesthetics are critical and this is the first product to meet the design demands of today’s style-conscious consumer and bring cool to the kitchen.”

A fridge is one thing, but cold beer is quite another. But why not both? The HomePub™ provides way more space as your usual bar fridge, plus a dispenser pump on the outside for you to stream frosty cold brew without opening the front and wasting precious cool molecules. Inside, it holds 301 litres net volume, freezes 5kg in 24 hours, and has two vegetable crispers for celery and… more celery. It also has a pretty spiffy looking stainless steel finish. But mainly, it’s about the beer.
