Introducing an evolutionary new look in coffeemakers. The Cuisinart? Brew Central? Coffeemaker makes a bold statement with a brushed stainless steel finish and an elegant tech-industrial design. Programmable from start to finish, with a variable heater plate for temperature control, it’s the ideal coffeemaker for today’s demanding consumer. It even tells you when it’s time to decalcify. Cuisinart quality, performance and convenience — now in new state-of-the-art packaging.

You know how much we love to experiment with kitchen contraptions and today, we can safely say that we have an amazing product for you!
This is so brand new that we literally snatched it off the fair in Frankfurt to bring it to you: Say hello to the world’s smallest espresso machine. So small, you can take it anywhere you like!
If you are an espresso aficionado, you know that the key to great espresso (next to good water and good coffee) is the pressure that is used to press the water through the coffee. Which is pretty much the reason that mobile espresso makers have not been successful in the past. In the past that is though, as this brand new Handpresso uses a technology that has been around for decades and if you own a bike, you most likely have used it it in the past; the pump.
Here’s what you need to have: ESE coffee pads (many espresso makers need these and there are various coffee varietals available) and 25 are included, hot water and the Handpresso. All you need to do is use the handle to pump air into the unit until you have reach 16 bars of pressure, add the ESE pad, pour the hot water and you are ready to go, press the release button and your espresso will dispense into your cups (you did bring cups, didn’t you?) with beautiful crema on top.
Done. That’s it. No electricity needed. No mess, no fuss, just plain good espresso. And to get you started immediately 25 ESE pads are included as well.

This isn’t the first time Nespresso has brought some red carpet bling to a coffee machine. This time it’s added some pink sparklers to the Essenza coffee machine and will be releasing a bunch in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Moving away from Harrods to an equally plush retailer, Nespresso will be selling the limited edition bedazzled coffee machines exclusively through Selfridges. You can get the ultimate luxurious coffee experience, not to mention you’ll be adding some pizazz to your kitchen, for the not-so-cheap price tag of £699.

A quick glance at the Avestruz Tea Set and it may not be apparent it’s inspired by an ostrich with its head in the ground. A novel idea that serves no intrinsic value but the aesthetic is kind of charming don’t you think. My only question is if the handle is the neck, then the spout is the…?

Inspired by high-end Italian sports cars, designer Tadahito Ishibashi came up with the Brunopasso PD-1—an espresso machine that looks like it should be hauling ass down the highway. Outside of its sleek curves, the illusion is enhanced with dashboard-style gauges and a beechwood lever. But that is not where the similarities end—much like a sports car, the Brunopasso does not come cheap at $850. With Ferrari putting their brand on everything from laptops to Segways these days, I’m sure they are kicking themselves for missing out on this one.

DROPPA is a carafe designed to bridge the gap between form, function, and space. It expands the feeling of liquidity out of an object that looks like a water droplet frozen just at the moment of impact. It’s organic and extremely architectural. The top of the drop is actually the cup by where you invert the stem to pour water into.

Designed by Tadahito Ishibashi for Japanese retailer deviceSTYLE, the pod-espresso machine Brunopasso PD-1 is rather lovely looking.
1960s sports cars have obviously influenced the design, which includes a gearshift-like the handle crafted in beech wood, and the two gauges.
It is available now for SEK 4995 (nearly $850).

Whether you’re a minimal purist or stuck in a small apartment with limited counter space, you might want to consider Plus Minus Zero’s latest offering, an electric kettle. Bordering on the ordinary, the small cylindrical kettle would look perfect with a coupe of ±0 mugs.

It may not create drinking water from anything like Dean Kamen’s wonder machine, but this new so-called Klimatic Base 1 AirWater Machine does its share of inventive (but not entirely unique) water purifying nonetheless, with it promising to pull drinkable water out of the air. That’s done, as you might have guessed, with the aid of an apparently standard dehumidifier, which gets paired with several filters and a UV light chamber that the company says will eliminate any bacterial content that might be in the water. You’ll apparently even be able to get both hot and cold water from the dispenser. There’s no word on price or availability just yet, unfortunately, and we wouldn’t recommend trying to rig up your own with a Brita filter and the dehumidifier in your basement in the meantime either.

Toaster combos appear to be the latest craze in kitchen appliances at the moment. We’ve already seen the microwave/toaster combo, kettle/toaster combo and the toaster/egg poacher amalgamation. Unsatisfied with leaving the toaster to stand alone, these manufactures can’t seem to stop pairing the toaster with some kind of other kitchen appliance. This time you’re being offered the chance to make a brew while your toast is… err, toasting away.
This latest pairing combines a two-slot toaster with a five-cup drip coffee maker. Unlike the microwave/toaster, this Breakfast Set from Team Appliances features the greatly needed removable crumb tray. It also boasts a reusable filter and automatic shut off on the coffee maker - for those rushed mornings.
Spare a thought for the poor old toaster though, cast aside in favour of a more modern appliance. Could these hybrid toasters put an end of the traditional toaster as we know it?
Price $50 at Team appliances
